Monday 27 September
Come ‘n’ Try Calisthenics
Ages three to 10.
Calisthenics is a uniquely Australian sport which combines dance, gymnastics, singing, apparatus (clubs and rods), marching and acting. There is a focus on flexibility, strength and control, grace and poise, and simply enjoying dance and movement.
Venue: West Torrens Auditorium Gallery,
1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Time: 10am – 11am session one for ages six and under.
11.30am – 12.30pm session two for ages 10 and under.
Cost: FREE. Bookings required.
Tuesday 28 September
Cooking for Kids
Ages five to 11.
Learn how to make funny face biscuits or pita bread pizzas to take home and enjoy.
Venue: Thebarton Neighbourhood House, 10 Falcon Avenue, Mile End.
Time: 10.30am - noon funny face biscuits for ages five to seven.
12.30pm - 2pm pita bread pizza for ages eight to 12.

Wednesday 29 September
Funkyfit Kids
Ages four to 11.
Funkyfit Kids instructors teach energetic fitness classes set to awesome music. The classes include simple choreography and athletic games which include a giant parachute, beanbags, hoops, balloons, jumping sacks, three legged races and so much more.
Venue: West Torrens Auditorium Gallery,1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Time: 10.30am.

Tuesday 5 October
Play, Move and Be
Ages birth to 11.
This is a movement session for kids and parents with a focus on learning to play games, moving to music and relaxation. Parents are invited to come along dressed to ‘play, move and be’ with their child.
Venue: West Torrens Auditorium Gallery, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Time: 10.15am - 11.15am for ages five and under.
11.30am - 12.30am for ages six to 12.

Wednesday 6 October
Pop Up Art
Ages five to 11.
Make a painting with creatures that pop up from the page.
Venue: West Torrens Auditorium Gallery, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton.
Time: 10.30am - 11.30am and 12.30pm - 1.30pm.
Cost: FREE. Bookings required.
For teenagers aged over 12
Tuesday 28 September
Eat Local, Think Global – Food Lovers Tour
Ages 12 and up.
Tantalize your tastebuds with the amazing flavours and spices of some of the restaurants on Henley Beach Road. Sample different cuisine from all over the world during lunch time, and all for FREE!
Venue: Three surprise restaurants on Henley Beach Road.
Time: Noon - meet in the Hamra Centre Library foyer for 12.15pm SHARP departure

Wednesday 29 September
Spray Painting Workshop with Joshua Smith
Ages 14 and up.
Learn the basics of how to create a stencil, how to effectively cut it out, and then spray your artwork onto canvas. This genre of street art is fast growing, and you have the opportunity to learn from one of the pioneers.
Venue: Plympton Community Centre, 34 Long Street, Plympton

Slap Stick Comedy Workshop
Ages 12 and up
Learn the art of slap-stick comedy in this workshop provided by Urban Myth Theatre of Youth. Hosted by Jo Coventry, general manager of Urban Myth, this creative workshop will combine
imagination and physical activity.
Venue: Hamra Centre Library Sunroom, 1 Brooker Terrace, Hilton
Time: 1pm – 3pm

Tuesday 5, Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 October
Get Out, Get Active and Join a Sporting Club
Ages 11 to 13.
Come ‘n’ try aquatic sports including rowing, canoeing, dragon boating, surf life saving and sailing over 3 days for FREE! This program is a collaboration between the City of West Torrens and the Australian Sports Commission.
Venue: Aquatic Reserve, Bower Road,West Lakes.
Time: 9am – 1pm each day.
Cost: FREE.

Thebarton Aquatic Centre
Ages 5 and up.
Supervised activities including water polo, flipper fun, water games, noodle and tube races, fun play time and the new sea scooter.
Venue: Thebarton Aquatic Centre, 1 Meyer Street, Torrensville.
Time: 12pm—2pm Monday- Friday
Cost: $6 entry. No booking required.
Ice Arena
All ages
Visit South Australia’s premier ice sports centre. Pick up a voucher from the Hamra Centre Library for one FREE admission with one equal paying admission. Please note this offer is limited to one voucher per family.
